Crown Hair Transplants – 2100 Hair Grafts

This 43-year-old male patient had been experiencing hair loss and thinning since his early thirties. He had tried over-the-counter topical treatments with little success. Over the years, as his crown thinned, he combed his hair back to cover it, but eventually the area became too large, and his hairline began receding. When he came to McGrath Medical, he expressed that his primary concern was filling in the crown and possibly enhancing his existing hairline.

Our doctors advised him that we would fill in his hairline to create a more youthful appearance, but focus on the crown. He preferred not to shave his hair for an FUE procedure, so we performed a linear donor strip extraction, which was easily covered by his existing hair. A total of 2,100 hair grafts were transplanted, with the majority in the crown, following the natural hair swirl pattern.

Ten months post-op, he was very happy with his refreshed hairline and hair density in the crown.
