Everyone has been affected by COVID-19. At McGrath Medical we are taking every measure that is appropriate to ensure our staff safety and patient safety. Dr. McGrath has recorded this video to communicate how our office is prepared to communicate with patient currently and how we intend to provide services moving forward.
Currently we are not open and available to see patients on a day-to-day basis, and we are not able to perform any elective surgery under the existing executive guidelines from the governor. However, we are still able to communicate with our patients by a telemedicine utilizing tools like Skype, Zoom, FaceTime and WhatsApp.
We wanted to make certain that all patients understand that we are still here, we are prepared and ready to go as soon as this executive order is lifted, and we will be ready to go full steam ahead. Dr. McGrath has taken the position to maintain my staff to keep them on the payroll so that when this order is lifted, we will be ready to forward normally.
During this crisis we are maintaining daily communication with our patients, our phone lines are answered by staff during normal business hours and for individuals that have questions or want to get more information but can't do so in person, we have the ability to do a virtual consultation with somebody just simply filling out the online form on our website schedule a telemedicine consultation.
Specializing only in hair restoration, our practice typically has very low patient traffic daily, with only one surgical case per day. Our staff is all monitored and will be tested before resuming work to assure patient and staff safety going forward. The Governor of Texas has put in place an executive order that as of now is due to lapse come April 21, 2020. Our goal is to be open on April 22, 2020. It is possible that the executive order may be extended beyond April 21st. If we have to reschedule your surgery please understand that it's not because we're trying to be difficult, but rather to comply with the regulations that we have been given by the Governor.
